Russian-born artist Yelena Chemerisov lives and works in Colorado. She holds a BFA from Otis Parsons School of Art and Design. "Vera Rey" is the pseudonym she uses when writing Russian poetry (please see her poetry on the Blog page). Her high-quality painting technique keeps her patrons and clients in a mood of appreciation due to contact with mastery. The concepts of her work deal with an infinite searching and grasping for the meaning of life. The style of the work is another look for viewing yourself as a vessel between fantasy and reality, composing a surreal, intuitive world which then triggers an intellectual craving for the unknown. Hundreds of Yelena's works - including portraits, still-life's, drawings, etchings, and watercolors - form an amusing archive. Many of them belong to private collections. Uploaded on the Internet, they live their endless, virtual life - making the artist's life somehow last forever.
